Tickling Giants released TODAY!

Sara Taksler

Sara Taksler, an alumna of the Arabic Program at Washington University in St. Louis and a senior producer at "The Daily Show," releases Tickling Giants TODAY to much acclaim.  Rotten Tomatoes gives the film “100%,” while the Huffington Post describes the film as “beautiful, funny, charming, insightful, laugh until your cry, and then cry until you laugh film.”

Taksler describes her film as "a Cinderella story gone awry. Virtually overnight, Bassem Youssef goes from a doctor to one of the most popular comedians in the world. But, as his country, Egypt, struggles with the parameters of free speech, telling jokes becomes dangerous for Bassem and his staff."  When asked what impact she hopes the film has on viewers, Taksler replies, "I really want people to feel inspired. Hopefully, Bassem will empower people to see that that they can find non-violent ways to take on the giants in their own lives, big and small."

Tickling Giants can be enjoyed via iTunes and Amazon, as well as ordering directly from http://www.ticklinggiants.com/.  We encourage all of you to support Sara by viewing the film and posting your reviews to both iTunes and Amazon.
